Phase I - Station

Die Phase I - Station des Instituts für Klinisch-Onkologische Forschung (IKF) bietet bis zu 12 stationäre oder teilstationäre Betten mit Anbindung an die intensivmedizinische Notfallversorgung. Auf der Phase I - Station werden zum einen Patienten behandelt, die sich in einer Phase I - Studie oder in Studien befinden die eine optimale Überwachen benötigen (z.B. Phase IIa - Studien).

Ausstattung der Station

  • Vier Patientenzimmer mit jeweils zwei (bis maximal drei) Betten 
  • Moderner Multifunktionsraum
  • Eigenes Labor für klinische Diagnostik und Aufbereitung von Studienmaterial/-proben (Zentrifugen, Kühlschränke, Gefrierschränke: -20°C/-86°C)
  • Mobile Ultraschall-, EKG- und EDV-Geräte
  • Moderne Notfallausrüstung
  • Direkte Anbindung an die Notfallversorgung, sowie die medizinische und chirurgische Intensivstation vor Ort
  • Anbindung an die hauseigene Apotheke, das Zentralinstitut für Radiologie und Neuroradiologie, das Zentrallabor, das Institut für Pathologie und Zytodiagnostik, der Klinik für Onkologie und Hämatologie und der Klinik für Radioonkologie
  • Bestandteil des Universitären Centrums für Tumorerkrankungen Frankfurt (UCT)
  • Anbindung an Biomarker-Netzwerke (TRON, Stratifyer, Immunologisches Forschungslabor, Pathologie, etc.)
  • Mitglied der Organisation "Bio Deutschland"

Phase I - Unit

The IKF phase I unit at Krankenhaus Nordwest offers up to 12 in- or day patient beds with full access to the intensive and emergency care unit.

Most patients treated in our phase I unit participate in a phase I trial but also patients enrolled in phase II trials will be treated here if thorough surveillance is needed.

  • Four treatment rooms with 3 beds each
  • A modern multi-purpose room
  • Own lab for clinical diagnostics and adequate processing of trial materials and specimen (centrifuges, refrigerators, freezers: -20°C/-86°C)
  • Mobile IT, ultrasound and ECG equipment
  • Modern standard emergency equipment
  • In-house emergency care and both medical and surgical intensive care units
  • In-house pharmacy, Institutes for  Radiology and Pathology, Departments for Oncology and Radiooncology, central lab,  endoscopy
  • Integral part of the UCT – University Cancer Center Frankurt
  • Close connections to biomarker research networks (TRON, Stratifyer, immunologic research labs, pathology departments etc.)
  • Member of Bio-Deutschland
